President

Colin McChesney

Colin has been president of the MN fencing division for the last two years. His goal for the last two years was to develop the depth and level of certification of the MN division referees, increase the size and strength of it's tournaments, and to facilitate coordination and clear communication amongst all MN clubs. He has moved towards these goals by increasing referee clinics and certifications, raising the participation of MN tournaments to the highest levels seen in the last 8 years, and has encouraged transparency and cooperation between all MN and surrounding clubs, leading to a more cohesive and tight-knit community. Although more work has yet to be done, he feels the division is moving in the right direction and hopes that you have noticed a positive difference as well.

As Vice President, her goals for the upcoming season include continuing to run excellent tournaments that draw out-of-state fencers, referee development, bout committee development, and communicating with neighboring states about tournament dates and tournament officials available for hire for their tournaments. With the knowledge and experience from Brianna's guidance this year, she is confident that these goals are achievable and will provide value to Minnesota fencing.
